Fire ants. Have these assholes made it to the islands yet?

 

They have one kind on the big island called an LFA - Little Fire Ant. Painful bites. I believe they've been successful in stopping it from getting to the other islands.

 

Yes we have a couple areas on Oahu with infestation of them and we don't have anything here to combat them. Plus they love our banana trees.
Maybe we need to import a bunch of ant eaters and let them free.

 

Is there no pesticide that targets these? Go chemical ali on them.

Had one bite me UNDER my fucking wedding ring.....in two spots. Didn't even know it till the next day when it turned into the little pimple that they always do. I had to explain to my wife why I couldnt wear my wedding ring for 2 days.

And that boys and girls is why you carry a fold up shovel in your pack when skiing off trail in deep snow. Happened to me except I wasnt upside down and had to climb out on my own.

 

Not really a wtf. My grandfather gave me a pair of new My Slippers. This things are super comfy but they were too small for him but fit me well. The kind of wtf is that the size 15 was too small for him.
