I just put a set under my driver's seat to test them out and so far getting in and out my knees bang on the steering wheel and it's up as high as it'll go. But I do like the extra reclining you get from them.

 

I have power seats, and with the seat all the way up its too high. I thought maybe the change in angle might help. IDK

 

That makes sense. I can barely get in with the steering wheel all the way up now without hitting my knees

 

If you are lacking support under your thighs, they are worth every penny. You’ll notice the improvement mostly on longer drives. I’m 5’11” and I have plenty of room to get in without hitting the steering wheel and I have it set low.

 

Makes a tad bit difference for me at 6'2, but I do like the extra leg support.

 

I have long-ish legs and so they support my thighs better by increasing the angle; it takes some pressure off the heals/knees. I could theoretically accomplish the same support but putting the seat way back but then the steering is uncomfortable. FWIW: I have the power driver seat.

Front + back spacers wouldn't work for me (as it wouldn't increase the angle), but should if you want to be taller.

40K mile Maintenance/tires

So the 2020 turned 40K miles now and it was time for maintenance and new tires. I changed the cabin filter, $7 from Amazon, not the $39.95 special from the Dealership. I purchased a new Toyota Air Filter for the engine. Had the Dealership change the oil and oil filter and grease and tighten the driveshaft bolts.

I was amazed the factory tires lasted 40K miles. They only had 3/8 of tread on the new but they made the trip to 40K. Replaced them with stock-size, Hankook brand AT tires. I have had very good luck with these tires. The first set on my 2nd Gen lasted 73K miles! Second set I didn't harp on the pressure as much and only got 68K out of them. Rated for Snow and Mud these tires have 2 good full-circumference water paths all the way around them so wet pavement performance is excellent. Some popular brands of AT tires lack this and they show premature hydroplaning.

 

Added a set of the normal size Rokblokz and removed the oem running boards.

 

Modest 3" lift and new sliders installed.



The sliders are easily the cleanest part of the truck.

Just from my own experience I can tell my lower back and my legs in general arent as tired/restless/uncomfortable as they were. My wife who's a passenger princess hasnt commented on any difference. I suppose it's different when you drive vs just sitting down

 

Absolutely……..a must if you don’t have a power seat……….
Makes more difference the longer the trip…….

put in front if you’re shorter……..put in back if taller……

had them on my 2010, have electric seat in my 2021.

Not sure about the purpose of lifting the front but the back levels the seat and it feels a little more comfortable on the back of my legs when I do my very long drives from Toronto to Florida to Toronto to Florida to Toronto..

 

I think the logic is it lets you bend your legs. I’ve really been debating adding some, I’m fairly tall (for a midsize truck) and even on shorter trips I can keep my legs getting slightly uncomfortable.
