So I love Penelope, and I love toasted whiskey. This bottle is almost a drain pour for me, I let guests drink it. I get an artificial bacon bits note that ruins it for me, might just be sour oak but that’s where my brain goes. I know many others who LOVE that bottle tho

When your daughter lives in another state and is coming home for the weekend….ha! She picked up a few bottles I can’t get here in NM. And she sent me photos of the entire bourbon/whiskey aisle. For a small college town, they have a sweet selection of stuff! Starting with this and perhaps a few more in a month or so when she comes back. She enjoyed getting to go in and check out the selection :)

Thanks gents, I’m gonna try to scoop one up tomorrow assuming they still have any. Tonight’s pour is RR10, can’t go wrong with that.

Ive recently discovered OGD BIB. I really enjoy the bottle, but I prefer the Evan Williams BIB a bit more. Hows does it compare to the BIB, if you happen to know?

My brother has a bottle of rare breed that he sips on

funny story… my brother and I are 8 years apart, he’s older than me. So naturally when I got to senior year of HS he was already in his party days of college. Well, being the older brother that I look up to….of course I wanted to hand with the big boys and drink like the big boys. One weekend 4 of my friends and I had a big bonfire planned and we needed drinks so I ask my brother whats a good whiskey to drink. Guess which one? WT101 of course. Being naive I get my hands on a handle and me a the 4 guys polished it off in one long ass night by the fire. Couldn’t stomach it for years.
