I have a 2020 TRD OR that's all stock. I picked up a set of OEM 17" FJ steelies in near new condition, rim only. I want to leave my stock set of wheels/tires complete to sell. I already bought new lug nuts for the steel wheels. My question is what TPMS sensors do I need to buy for the new wheels? Are they different for steel and alloy wheels? Does the dealer have to be involved to make new ones work? I'd prefer an OEM sensor as well. Thanks for the advice in advance!

I bought a set of used like new ones off ebay for like 85 or so for all 4 and i used my autel tpms tool to program the sensors. I sold the stock oem wheels with the sensors

There is a slight difference between the steel and alloy wheel TPMS in the angle for the stem/sensor. The dealer doesn’t necessarily have to get involved unless you want them to. They’d likely say that you need to use OEM sensors to guarantee that it all works. But, any decent shop with the right tool should be able to program your new sensors (OEM or otherwise) to the truck, or you can do it yourself if you have the tool yourself like the Autel TS508.
