Hello. Just wondering if the third brake light and on the Toyota Tacoma cargo backlight are connecting to the border on the top of the overhead console or if is it a fuse problem. On door mode it won't turn but when I turn it on it works.

Cargo Bed Illumination has its own fuse. In the ON position of the switch, since it does come on, not a fuse issue. For it to turn ON with door Open, they share that trigger with the interior illumination. Have you tried all doors? (leaving Driver's door closed and unlocked)

Have you done any electrical mods recently? That would include anything like an LED bulb upgrade.

Yes it's true. People have burned out all kinds of stuff doing LED lights without disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Try disconnecting the negative cable for about 30 min or so, then re-connect and see what happens. Also, maybe @caribe makaira has some idea on what to look at to troubleshoot that switch.
