    Lol march 31st we should all turn our cars in for horses and not worry about gas anymore. I always wanted to be a cowboy anyways lol

    That won't do anything either. They'll just sell the excess inventory off to the other companies. The other companies will charge more because there's a demand spike from all the new customers who weren't buying from them before. Since the boycotted gas station will no longer have customers, they'll go out of business. The owner of the gas station looses out, not the oil company.

    Actually, you're both right. For overall fuel efficiency given current passenger loads, planes are better on average. Emissions is a different issue. If everyone had a hybrid, motorcycle or rode in a vanpool, cars would be better by far.
