Shoot, if the new saw is bad I would almost try for a free saw at that point.

I asked for a full refund, they wouldn't (for now at least). If #3 is bad, I'll push for a free saw and will report it to the proper state and federal consumer protection agencies.

Here I am looking at the installation M12 tool with extra XC5.0 and the brushless M18 weed eater with the 6.0 Ah battery to meet the $299 minimum to get 10% off and @Sig45 is getting freebies :fistbump:

Sorry about the saw… I’m still using my Ryobi 18v 7 1/4” I got for $10 at a yard sale.

    Highly recommend both!

If they had just simply repaired my original I'd be free & clear of this ordeal.

Just think, soon you will have enough batteries to power a electric car.

Maybe I'll push for a complimentary cordless mower (ridiculously priced IMO). It's sort of a mini car. 4 wheels, motor and a chassis. :D

Replacement (new) saw #3 arrived today.

I've officially lost my shit. I'll be on the phone again with Milwaukee first thing Monday morning.

    :annoyed:

I’m considering picking up the 6 pack rapid charger 12v and 18v. Been wanting it for a while but they never go on sale and tools always pop up on sale

Me thinkith the time for patience has expired. I'm also filing a complaint with the BBB and my state Consumer Protection agency. I've had countless conversations with Milwaukee regarding this known problem.

Why do you think they deserve a complaint with BBB and state consumer protection? Have they not gone out of their way in trying to make it right by sending replacements, giving you free batteries and offering a full refund? Seems pretty harsh with them trying to take care of you. Yeah the whole situation sucks but they are at least trying to make it right.

My original saw that was purchased back in 2020 was perfect. The slide was smooth as butter. I don't get how they can get so bad.

Yes, that's all true for me personally, other than not offering a full refund. More so related to the fact that they know this is a manufacturing issue, yet have not made any effort to correct it. And continue to send me a defective product.

I'll be asking for a full refund again.

lol, watching casey ladelle on youtube, he just threw a milwaukee steel cutting saw across his driveway and said the brand's useless. he was trying to cut apart a trailer, and it stopped 1/8 into the one side...

Spoke to an Engineer from Milwaukee this morning on the slide issue with the 7 1/4 sliding miter saw. He had heard about this issue and it was apparently related to a design change. My original saw was manufactured before this change. Many of the available saws are from the run with this change. He found a newly designed one that should hopefully be good. That was shipped this morning. The saw I shipped back this morning is going directly to him so it can be looked at in detail.

Any update on #3? Is it on its way to you or did you received it yet?
