Wher’d you get the license plate holder?

 

I have the same one got it off of Etsy

 

Recently upgraded the license plate lights to LED which resulted in the dredded glare on the rear view camera. Simply painted the top half of the lights to bring the glare down.

 

Am I the only one that finds it comical that the aftermarket gas cap holder is right next to the gas cap holder that already comes with the truck?

 

Yes. Pretty much.

 

I like my aftermarket gas cap holder. Fooey on you.

 

For people who wear both a belt and suspenders.

Unless you buy a locking gas cap...it's not comical. It's a cheap upgrade.

Ask me how I know...I bought my OEM LED Headlights and installed them myself with Dave Easa harness...after the fact.

 

Where’s the one that comes with the truck?

 

Theres not one. People like to claim that being able to dangle the plastic "cord" over the clasp is a gas cap holder. It's like saying you can put coins in a cup holder and calling it a coin holder.

 

Don’t understand all the smack talk back and forth on these. Yes, there is a stock solution. Yes, there is an aftermarket slightly better and fairly cheap alternative. Pick one and let the other side be. I like my American flag gas cap holder and it was a great low price point wish for my kid to get me as a present.

And yes, I also get the irony of patriotic accessories on a Japanese truck. Don’t care!

 

Shouldn’t that be a flag? I mean that’s where most of your imported gas money goes…

 

Well it’s American dollars paying for Canadian gas in a Japanese designed truck assembled in Mexico.

I wax my door jambs, tailgate jambs and underhood areas annually.

That's pretty cheap. And I qualify it as a mod since

1) it doesn't come that way and
2) 96.52% of Tacoma owners never even consider such a thing.

 

And yet when dangling the gas cap over the clasp, said clasp is holding the gas cap...
