The 2020 Diavel in NY was a bust but im not surprised. They couldnt do the extended 3 year warranty because the factory 2 year was expired which I asked specifically and they said they could indeed do it. I got ahold of the national sales rep that ive known 18yrs and raced with.. he confirmed that theyre absolutely full of shit and his next phone call was going to be to them.
There was a two-year-newer blacked out one in VT, got them down to within $2k of the other one and slapped a deposit on it. Picking it up on my birfday next weekend!

First Toyota C-HR we've seen in the wild up here (CA plates), and after looking at photos of humpback whales feeding on herring during Sitka's sac roe herring fishery this week on the church receptionist's phone, pointed out this car across the street and she remarked, "It looks a little small." Definitely, but except for the plates I think the multi-colored body looks better than the solid color red one that The Car Care Nut drove and reviewed on YouTube last year. Started installing the front row Clazzio leather covers on the fold flat passenger seat and I thought "dark grey" would be darker. It's taking me longer than Logan the customer service, installer, and Clazzio's current YouTube star, but that's OK since he's likely forty years younger Another project that will "keep me off the street" for several days... Managed to get the first headrest cover clipped together last night, and pulled the driver's headrest cover on, will wait for the material to relax and stretch before squeezing foam to fasten the clips. That's what the seat back's doing, while I Dyson vacc'ed the left side seat and wait a little longer... Offroam phone holder will be delivered today...

 

The CHR sucks.
You need to be just about a teenager to be able to open the rear door it’s so high. We had people trade them in cause the kids couldn’t open the door and just jump in and go. An adult had to get out and let them in the back..
I never liked them.

 

Holy crap, I never knew the handle was that high up!

 

We're glad it's a California car... I don't know many people that would fit in it. Better than walking away from your grid-locked EV after waiting so long in traffic that the battery dies... Reminds me that after stopping at Ellensburg, WA for gas last summer, I was told that three of six Tesla Supercharging stations there were out of service and without any time estimate for repair.
