Well due to scheduling restraints with non-retired folks this trip will commence July 31st ...and will end whenever people want to come home..lol...I'll post a loose sched coming soon as this year we will throw in some trails.

Guaranteed I retained nothing....other than I now want to move to Australia.

You'd miss the Toyota pretty easily. Might need to watch a couple more times before you see it.

 

Oh I have...if I watch it a couple more times that makes an even 20 times.
Still can't find any vehicle in it.

 

Loose Schedule...starting July 29th as I don't think the first park is open on weekdays...anyways here we go.

July 29th Holy Oaks ORV Park
Little mix of everything mud/rock/sand/trails scramble areas and a track.
Overnight in Grand Blanc/Flint area.
2.5 hrs from my house depending on the border.

July 30st Rocks&Valleys ORV
Never been but gets pretty good reviews.
Overnight in Clare
1.5 hours from Flint.

July 31st Silver Lake Dunes ...overnight in Hart.
1.5 hours from Clare.

Aug 1st ...Audible....into the trails we go.

ug can shoot out and stay in Big Rapids...and go back in and head towards Baldwin.

All the ORV parks require a front mounted flag as well as the dunes...the trails I'm not so sure but can confirm.
You will require both an ORV permit and a trail pass for all of the spots we visit, which will cost about 38 bucks USD.
You will also require a Non-Resident Passport to access any State Park trailheads and Parking/staging lots which is about 36 bucks USD.
The beauty of it is they are ALL good till March of the following year, so you can access anytime, not just for this trip...ie the permits/passport I bought last summer expire the end of March 2023.
You can purchase all you need from the links I posted and the DNR will mail them to you...very easy process.

I will update as soon as I can confirm the trail info I am waiting for.

What a small world, my best friends family has a cottage on Cedar Lake. Been in the family for almost 75 years, one of the first cottages/house on the lake. His grandparents / uncle’s once owned almost the entire north side of the lake. Farmers, grapes/corn, Welch’s in Lawton, wineries in Paw Paw.

 

You probably know him...scary!!!
