Has anyone here used any of the eBay synthetic ropes out there. I am looking to replace the steel cable on a 2nd gen Warn VR8. This one looks like a good deal but is it realy?

    Just some stuff...
I don’t know anything about the seller, but I do know that’s a really good price. Maybe too good.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
No idea the only thing I bought from ebay in the last few years was from aircabinman timing belt kits.

That seems real Cheap Compared to other trusted sources then I also went with 1/2"

Recovery gear is one of those areas where cutting cost is not worth it. If there is no verifiable test data backing up the product I will avoid it.

I don't trust EBay for anything. Harbor Freight stuff has proven to be pretty good.

Matt’s Off Road Recovery uses the Badland 12000 with synthetic rope (I think Harbor Freight sponsors him with these but they seem to work OK) and likes it a lot. Did see the rope break on one recovery and it just fell to the ground, not whipping around.

I ended up getting the Voodoo off-road rope. Good reviews fast shipping and good customer service.
