Drive back today was cake. Light snow near the summit, 32 degrees, roads bare and wet. I don’t remember when I’ve had 2 pass crossings in the winter in such ideal conditions.

I went with OEM, part numbers in the original post. I’d highly recommend OEM vs aftermarket, they are not inexpensive but they are a fair amount less than 2nd Gen assemblies.

I’m not quite ready to be pulling the trigger on suspension just yet. Need to spend some time figuring out the sizing too.

If it uses a Hella relay it is likely the Rallylights harness. Picker or Bosch is the HS harness.

    Dump runs are the greatest.

    Truck weighs 4045lbs with a 1/2 tank of gas (I’m 175).

That dump looks a lot cleaner than the few I've been to. I refuse to take my own vehicles as they make you drive way back into the thick of it and then you've got to deal with the muck in the fender wells when you get back. Plus the stench, yuck. :puke:Much easier to rent a truck or pay someone to haul stuff off.

The scale is nice trip benefit though. I've been meaning to weigh my truck. One of these days...

200? That’s it? I did a half load of 620 on Friday, checked in at GVW. Let’s not talk about the 1000+ I dropped prior to that with my bro in law helping me. Definitely felt the weight there.

I guess 5’ beds don’t hold that much.

@MGMDesertTaco, you just need more trucks so you can have one designated as the dumpmobile.

This is a dump transfer station, you dump into an 18 wheeler trailer in the pit below. The semi then hauls it to the dump proper. All the places on the Eastside are like this and very clean. I wouldn't go to a place like you describe.

That was just out of the playroom only, mostly plastic stuff. I couldn't take the disaster in there anymore and the inability to walk though the room. Can't have a disaster in the room if there is no stuff.

    Disaster? As in our kitchen?

I’ll stop by on my next trip through and you can stuff all your trash in my bed. I won’t notice :)

Best part is the cool air seeping through the gaps in the floor and the subsequent $200/month gas bill.

The weather has been improving enough that we've biked 4 days in the last 2 weeks, which pulls the Tacoma out of hibernation and back into the regular rotation.

Why not a halogen fog, like a KC Apollo Pro or a Hella 450 for a more period-correct look? I suppose you'd get more output from the SSC1s.

Size mainly. Agreed on desiring the period correct look, but all those lights are much too large for the lower valence slot and halogen lights need to be larger to be performant. The truck barely fits in the garage on the desired side, as in mms of clearance on the front of the truck to the workbench, so mounting any kind of protruding light isn't an option either. Current thought is actually to use the Morimoto 2 bangers, as they are quite a bit better performing than the SSC1 Max, though the beam isn't quite as wide, but I could rotate them outward a few degrees to compensate.

Not mine, don't know. The owner is a fabricator and way more, so it wasn't "hard" for him.

I missed this post. The harness you have:
Susquehanna Motorsports: HL282S SMS Upgrade Headlamp Harness for Switched Ground Vehicles
It looks like they ahve updated their website since I originally purchased it.

I think it's the "HL28200S - Upgrade Harness for Two H4 Lamps" version.

Its been approaching 4 years since this has been sitting in my parts pile. I should probably invest in figuring it all out.
