Best I can do is compare these two. Both are great for their respective price range. If you like higher proofs, OGD for the win. But I’m partial to EW BIB, it gets the nod by a hair. They’re both great and cheap enough to rotate. Cheers.
Oh, almost forgot to give a rundown of what they taste like. Both have the typical oak, vanilla, caramel flavors. OGD has a few more “burny” spices…

 

such great values..the EW BiB is so corn forward.. love em both. Although the EW gives me a headache the next morning

 

Haven’t touched this one in a bit, I forgot how good it was. Might need to start searching for a backup bottle.

 

this January I was in Tokyo, such a fine visit...and this was on the menu

 

Southern Comfort for me, sometimes I’ll smell something that reminds me of it and my stomach still turns. For my wife it’s UV Blue.

 

Crazy that this bottle is under $20! One of the best values in bourbon

 

I’ll have to see if I can find this one.

 

I was specifically looking for this on my Reno trip, saw not a single bottle.

Anyone tried this yet? I have seen VERY mixed reviews.

 

For a second I thought you may have worked for the distillery or for the mafia. Your avatar does not help your case for the later. I’ve heard a lot of chatter on Blantons but I have never came across it in the wild.

 

Ha! No I just went on the Buffalo Trace distillery tour. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who loves bourbon. It’s completely free and includes a tasting. It was an awesome experience. The smell from the warehouse that we toured was indescribable.

 

Little disappointed, distinct advantages to having mafia members in the bourbon network (one presumes).

 

I’ve had reflection 1 and the high rye…wasn’t for me. But like you said, many people are nuts forcthe whole line

 

Full disclosure, I did look around and did some quick calculations on how fast I could run with one of those cases and how likely I might be to get away. Then I remembered giving them my DL info for the tour, and abandoned that plan.
