What it does is it utilizes the existing d4s system and keeps it in direct injection mode but only when the cylinders are at some degree BTDC like how a deisel works.
It also makes the ticking noise 59% louder to make 47% more forum posts about loud ticking noises. One would also not have to worry about changing or upgrading the materials to withstand diesel compression because that will sort itself later with time “break-in period” (break or blow up the engine). Toyota did this ti finally silence the overwhelming customer demand for a diesel. Now as for the EGR system the kit will forcibly make the catalytic converters to magically fluidly self-identify as a
diesel exhaust system which negates the need to buy DEF.
