Alignment isn't a function of what wheels and tires are on the vehicle so it doesn't change. I don't have a forward facing camera but my "radar" for the adaptive cruise control and the collision avoidance system have both been OK. Some folks will argue you can get premature wheel bearing and ball joint wear and maybe that's true with a crazy negative offset but IMO a -10mm isn't going to hurt anything.

Does anyone have experience from running 17x8.5 -10 offset with 255/80?

I can tell you with that size wheel and offset that 275/70 will rub the front mudflaps and wheel wells without a lift. If you want the 33s, look for a wheel with a 0 offset.

Thank you. Unfortunately the wheel I’m looking at only runs in that size. Work S1hc. I’m hoping with a cmc and some trimming/heating I can make it work.

Going from 32.2" (275/70) to 33, I think I'd need to chop the cab mount for clearance. 255s may help, but I'm not sure by how much. Good luck. I know it's a tough decision when you find the wheels you like. Just be willing to chop and trim to make them fit.

These look good for a stock SR5 look.

    Hi All,

I am looking for a bit of help with wheel selection.

I am planning on keeping the suspension stock (no lift or leveling kits) and want to use the stock tires 265-65-17. I mainly use the truck for commuting and do not want any rubbing or clearance issues. Also do not want the tires to poke out past the fenders.

Many of the wheels I am looking at all seem to come in 0mm offset - is this too aggressive?

    Looking at:
    Enkei Cyclone - 17x9 0mm offset
    Icon Alpha - 17x8.5 0mm offset
    Rays Team Daytona M8 - 17x8.5 0mm or +10mm offset

Should I be looking for something with a more positive offset? +10mm to +20mm?

0mm Offset will have the wheel/tire flush with the fender. I believe the stock wheels are +30mm offset. I would go with 0mm and be done. You won't have any clearance/rubbing issues at all. I run -10 Offset wheels which stick out roughly an inch on 265/65/17 with stock suspension and no issues.

Hey Guys, Thought I would post my question here without starting a new one as I am keeping Stock Lift. Spoke with Tirecraft in my town and the service guy was telling me to stick to a safe offset on new rims between +18 to +25 or else tires will wear unevenly and I will have rubbing and joint issues. Everything his store sold was 0 to negative offset. So I found it amusing he would state this and he even said "Guys don't care about tire wear".

I was going to with +5 offset tire or even a 0 offset with some 265/70 R17s. I dont want any rubbing or cutting post install. Leaning toward some Toyos or KO2s.

Was the service guy just giving me an annoyed answer?
