We also found out...not in a good way...long axial DOC and small radial DOC on P20 will pull the .500 EM out of those hydraulics, warms up the oil, blows the seal and the EM starts to slide. Leaves a much deeper pocket than expected in a fairly confined area. YG1 milling chucks for the win in that case.

Apparently "full send" on a cordless ratchet is too much torque for the oh shit handle. Got a little extra "oh shit" than what I bargained for when I grabbed the thing. Sheared the bolt head right off. Or maybe the truck is telling me to lose some weight :spy:

Starter replacement for an 06 x runner, or any 2nd gen taco as far as I know... 4.0 v6 man trans... I think they are all the same. Any suggestions or experience between brands/ oem/etc....? I replaced mine on my 05 with an orielly special if I remember correctly, Been awhile since. Haven't had any problems. Just looking for any insight or experience if anyone has any... ive heard that I should just rebuild the factory OEM denso unit but ain't nobody got time for that. Unless someone had insight into that as well...

Toyota here in t town only had a re man. Maybe I'll call the other dealer or look online. Factory lasted over 200k so I'd like to stick with oem but they want almost double what orielly or autozone wants for a re man with a lifetime warranty..... hmmmmmm thanks for the quick input brotha!

Scratch the last quote, desert toyota only wants about 60 more for an oem, but re-mann... and said they can't get new anymore.... gonna call precision Toyota tomorrow and see what they say. Probably just end up with the orielly one again as they'll have it down the street from me first thing tomorrow.

Also, anyone have any good tips or tricks for removal and replacement? It's been a long time since I've done one and I remember hating it.

Bummer. I'm sure it'll be ok tho. Even half that original lifetime is great.

Found this trick on 3rd gen headlights that I didn’t know about until I went looking. My headlights got washed out on Castle Hot Springs Road a few weeks back. Castle Hot Springs is one of my IT clients and of course I’m the only one with a vehicle that could make during the storms. It’s was basically just a big river. They were bringing guests in with a helicopter, it was so bad. I had fun though. Will post videos when I get them from my co-worker who rode along.

No, I just had to go out for some work but the road to their resort was essentially gone in some areas.

I finally get a day to work on the truck and apparently the wind wants to crash my party. Told the misses this is why we need to buy a piece of land and put a shop on it, there was an audible eye roll. Just built a little work shop here at casa del windy, for reloading and general tinkering around but wish there was space for a proper shop on this lot.
