Not sure what you mean by stickiness, but cosmoline dries with no stickiness, just a semi-hard waxy coating thats tough. I think you mean those lanolin products like fluid flim. I've tried them, and they wash off too easy when operating on wet roads.

In the absence of one of those snazzy nozzles, i think i'm just gonna point the aerosol can into the holes in the frame and shoot; lest the perfect be the enemy of the good.

I’m kind of surprised how much frame rust I have without ever driving on the beach....I do live near it though. It’s not east coast bad but definitely doesn’t look like a CA vehicle.

Anything is better than nothing. I have used FF and its equivalent like Crown and Woolwax and would never use them again. They do ok, but have to be reapplied every year and came off easily. I used automated car washes with an undercarriage wash and by Spring it was completely washed off with surface rust showing. Personally I would only use cosmoline products and use them in every nook and cranny, door and fender seam along with all showing metal except brakes and exhaust obviously. After that just use a spray can for touch up on visible surfaces and you are golden.

Krown is far superior to FF and woolwax. That’s why it’s used in military vehicle applications here and overseas

Highly debatable on superiority and I would never go by what the military uses as they have restrictions that can prevent the use of a superior product and lets not forget that costs play a big factor too.

having used both Woolwax and FF, on both my Land Rovers and Toyotas, (cosmoline too), I’d have to disagree.

Back some years ago I bought one of these extended tube nozzles from eBay that I was able to adapt to a can of cosmoline rp-342 to flood those boxed in frame sections. Idk if their still out there, I've done some looking, but can't find the same one I bought.
