I just ordered an Anderson Engineering Manifold spacer for both my '21 Tacoma and my '17 4Runner (damn discount codes!!).
I've heard good things about them. Has anyone on here put one on their Tacoma, and if so, how do you like it?

i seen a guy on facebook dyno one. it did infact move torque curve down 1000rpm which should be great for daily driving. it did however loose power as an average throughout the rpm range past that torque peak. i think the average guy will like what it does. not for me personally though. tune adds enough down low hp and i want to keep all that hp up top.

i dunno, i'm seriously considering it because of that.

there's an option for my brz that does the same thing from crawford performance. i've got a set, but never installed them. after getting them i decided it alters the character of the car too far away from how i normally use it--banging off the rev limiter.

but for the truck, it just plain doesn't like banging off the rev limiter, especially with the dual intake tracts and servo switching, and is making me consider this simply to try to keep out of the 4-6k range more often.

Tip for install get that harness out the F way you’ll need more than the 1/2 inch they say.
You’ll most likely* need two people to install/align the bolts back INTO the block.
The furthest bolt away is most difficult to align.
    good luck brother

I just got mine today. Don't know when I'm gonna put it on, but I won't drive the truck until I do.

Anyone have any feedback yet? positive or negative?

Specifically, I'd love to hear from any manual owners as to how this mod is. On paper I feel this is more advantageous than a re-gear for us manual trans folks, it almost seems too good to be true.

How are people finding installation? It seems a fairly straight forward process, a couple of hours for someone going solo?

I'd like to see this too. In theory it should create more low end TQ at the expense of high end power. Also help a little with keeping the upper manifold cooler. Not sure what it will do in reality.

Reminds me of the spacer a lot of people used to run on Fox body 5.0 Mustangs. The jury is still out on if they did anything. Most people ran them to clear taller valve covers.

It's one of those "performance mods" that really doesn't do anything.

Hmmmmm so I already see some misinformation regarding engine output numbers. Peak torque is 4600, not 4100.

So can someone explain to me how this spacer adds power? It increases volume of combustion chambers?

Theoretically, the longer the intake runner, the more torque an engine will make at a lower RPM. That same engine will also lose HP, because the inverse is true - shorter intake runners make more HP. This is the reason for the 2GR-FKS ACIS system. It varies the effective intake runner length.

Extends the length of the intake runners. We used to add a spacer back in 80's between carb and the header on motorcycle engines.
The only benefit will be if it steepens the curve from 1000 to 3000.
