Yeah I would rather have some kind of forced air heat over baseboard heat.

Actually, baseboard is better than forced air in many ways if it's gas or oil...

When l had my apartment it had a heat/AC unit similar to a hotel room, one big unit under a large window. It was for the living room, dining room, and kitchen, the bedroom and bathroom had baseboard heat.

Does your house have an 80% or 90% efficient gas furnace?

I'll take a picture of it when I'm there tomorrow. It's only like two feet high! The water heater in my parents' house is almost 100 gallons and also almost as tall as I am.

Just looked at mine. It’s 81 gallons.

Any of you ever dealt with earthquake straps on a water heater?

Thats probably a 20 or 25 Gallon mini water heater, my apartment had that too and sucked cause the water would suddenly turn cold before you could finish your shower.

the best heater you can get is an efficient tankless, unlimited supply! Now if you have a wife or daughter that likes living in the shower your utility company will thank you. I have an electronic ignition Tagaki natural gas and it’s almost 15 years old and still chugging, works great for my needs.

This is why I thought it was 46 gallons; I still don't know what this represents...

Starting with a tank full of hot water.
Your heater should be capable of providing 46 gallons of hot water in the first hour.
The longer you run the hot water, the less efficient it is.
When ever you use the hot water, you’re diluting the hot water in the tank with new cold water refilling the tank.
