New to TW and want to see y'alls tacomas that don't have lifts on them. I'm not gonna lift my little 4 cyl so I want ideas on how to make it look nice without a lift.

    Some general ideas...

Chrome delete, more aggressive looking tires, a color matching canopy (if you're into those), rims can do a lot. Also, what color is yours?

It's silver. Thanks for the ideas. I absolutely am gonna get new tires and rims. I do like canopy if they match the height of the cab roof.

New tires is all you need for some extra height. I went up to 265/75r16 on my SR which gives me a little over half an inch lift. SR’s have more ground clearance than higher end models due to the smaller rear diff pumpkin, so going to that tire size also gives you like 10inches of ground clearance.

Replace halogen headlight and reverse bulbs with LED, that makes a massive performance and appearance improvement and is cheap.

ditch lights and cheap fog lights are helpful but not necessary.

How badly did larger tires affect the performance of the truck?

Had only positive impacts. I went with Falken Rubitreks which only weigh 1lbs more than the stock tires and I had them mounted on my stock rims, so no rubbing due to factory offset. MPGs have stayed the same and the truck now feels better over small bumps than it did before.

I’m also in a 4cyl and have not experienced any change in power

just make sure you get 4ply tires. Some folks will accidentally end up getting 10ply which will significantly decrease on road performance due to the massive weight increase from the thicker rubber.
