Was able to adjust my 3-link and bring the pinion down another 2 degrees. Drastic improvement in ride quality overall. And u-joint working angles still look pretty good at ride height. Slight vibes at 70mph but better than they were before.

So I got my shocks all bled out and put back together no isses. Bottomed ifp out and when seal head was pushed down the ifp is now about 1/4 to 1/3 of resi, same measurement as when I dissasembled.

    Question.

Should the shock extend when putting some air in the resi when all back together? After I was done I bottomed shaft out and pumped some air into the resi with a bike pump and nothing happened. Enough air that I couldnt pump the bike pump anymore.

Depends how much air you’re talking. Throw the proper pressure at it and see what happens. The shaft should extend.

If this is something you’re gonna stick with, I highly recommend doing your own charging station. Personally, I charge with argon since I tig weld and already have it on hand always. It opens the door to doing your own tuning much easier along with rebuilds etc. it’s not super pricey to setup.

You can fill it with air from a compressor as well to test stuff like this. I always test cycle a few times with air before filling with nitrogen. Usually takes around 40-50psi to extend the shaft at a decent rate

I agree and have been looking at setups. Poly has a nice kit with everything including bottle.

You’re better off buying a bottle from your local welding supply. Most places will not fill a bottle for you. At least not around me. You should be able to do a small bottle, regulator and stop loss for like 300$. I’ve been using a regulator/stop loss setup I got on eBay for like 5 years now. Think I paid like 150$

Yep. And for the guys that tig weld, argon is perfectly acceptable.

So.... I've got this Prerunner build that I need to get moving on. I'm thinking of making a dedicated build thread for it once I get some decent pics, etc but I figured I'd start having the conversation.

2013 Prerunner (2wd) with a DK LT kit up front, basically stock in the rear. It's got all of the proper gussets up front to include DK double shear & spindle gussets. Also has the MC LCA gusset kit already installed.

I've got McNeil 4" front & rear glass on order for it already and bypasses for the front. My plan is to fit the glass and then build a tube bumper that fits the truck. Been eyeballing some ideas and leaning towards something similar to the below. Something relatively simple yet clean. Interested in thoughts or options.

Too add to this, the truck is currently murdered out. All black but stock OR wheels that were poorly plasti dipped or painted w/ rattle can. So the next question is do I stick with all black or do I go with a polished metal wheel?

I was thinking the same... :fistbump:

Trying to keep weight & cost to a minimum but options are limited with polished.
