seat belt buckle clip

Ok, since day 1 my passenger front seat belt clip (the shiny piece that snaps in) has been on the belt in the opposite direction. It bangs against the molding on the panel while going down the road.
I never thought much about but now im thinking bout the integrity of it should a I be in an accident and have a passenger with me.
Is there a way to turn it back around or should it be fine??

 

its hard , but you have to fold the belt 90 degrees

trying to make the fold as flat as possible.

then force the buckle over the folded belt,

try to get the corner of the fold started first

then get the buckle over the rest of the folded part.

once the buckle is over the belt, it will be on the other side

I had the same problem! Took me forever to do this haha, made me feel as weak as a little kid!

 

Mine was actually like that too! When I brought it in to the dealership for it's 5000 mile service, I asked them to fix it. The service guy said they even had a special tool.

 

well my warranty is long gone, I wonder if they would do it as a good deed?
