Yeah sorry, my bad. "We think the Tacoma will enter a new generation..." so it's speculative.

Sometimes with these new announcements if media has been shown the goods they have a quarantine that expires on announcement day and things get leaked around midnight.

What a buzz kill. The only thing of importance to yours truly is what the new truck has to offer.

Seems the post with the schedule has been deleted.... The New York Auto show runs from April 7. Maybe Toyota is planning some other type of debut tomorrow.

Here is the schedule for Press day on the 5th and 6th. Perhaps the Taco will debut under "vehicle discovery" on the 6th :notsure:

I agree. I have owned my 15 tundra since it was brand new. I’m now at 130k miles and it hasn’t let me down once. It’ makes good power but the 13 mpg is getting old it’s time for something a little more fuel efficient but that can still do the work.

My bet is they keep it for the base models (4 pot turbo) but ditch it for the upper PRO or "Platinum" models and give them Automatic with same turbo 4 + hybrid. 350 hp maybe ?

I really hope they carry over the Manual Transmission. I have high hopes they will retain it.

Hopefully. But I have a feeling it’s gonna be like the Tundra reveal. Small snippets of the truck until full reveal whenever that may be

"PLANO, Texas (April 4, 2023) – The best-selling midsize pick-up in America is all-new for 2024 with electrifying i-FORCE MAX performance."

No chance the 4th gen would have the same engine as the Tundra? Do they call the 4 cylinder turbo hybrid in the Lexus an i-FORCE MAX?

I'm more curious about the interior. We're having baby in September. I'd like some more room for the baby seat and eventual car seat . Colorado has a bit larger rear legroom than Tacoma's. I'm leaning towards the trail boss - it has some very neat features too

Chances are they just used the same technology on the 4cylinder. No way they could squeeze the v6 imax in that engine bay

thats right, I think. 2024 tacoma will only have 4cyl or 4cyl turbo options
