Instead of hood swap threads I bet we’ll have tailgate swap threads

The stamped tailgate never grew on me either. Just tacky IMO, but I like a badgeless vehicle. looks cleaner to me.

Maybe, but the new tundra has horrible QC problems and issues, more so than the typical new gen issues and the mpg are nowhere near as promised. I’m hoping, I can afford a new tundra or this new taco and always an early adopter, but I’m also very weighted by looks. If it looked like the patent design I’m for it. But this is shaping up to look different, similar overall but that rear end looks terrible and makes me think mini plasticy new tundra. We shall see.

Gotcha. Yeh those Tundra issue, like most 1st year new gen powertrains, have be been squared away since it was on a limited run anyway.

There’s still a lot of issues ongoing, I spend time in their forums and fb groups as I was looking at buying. A lot more than the early wastegates.

I’m keeping an open mind, I’m a big Toyota fan boy and Taco loyalist. Just was hoping for the design patent exactly, lol. I’ll probably still buy depending on price, features, etc. either first year or a bit later down road, or tundra (growing family).

i am happy so far. the value of my 3G V6 MT just went up considerably.

they'll be a line-up at the dealerships today for the remaining 2023 models.

Does the Tundra have the iforceMAX badge on the tailgate? I have never noticed it before. Any reason why Toyota placed it on the passenger side?

I doubt it. Maybe they'll add a few teasers like they did with the Tundra. But it is still a ways from being released so they have to reserve some hype.

If it looks half decent and I can get the hybrid in an access cab, just sign me up right now. Otherwise, I'll probably just keep my 2021 and watch the value rise as people clutch onto the pearls that are ICE fuel-only vehicles and and give into a double cab short bed eventually.

I was expecting a full reveal today. That is a let-down if it is just the start of a trail of teaser pics. Either way, between the electric truck that we saw a while back and the patents, it seems very likely that the 4th gen is going to look pretty much like those. But I'd be interested in the interior and options, along with prices. Hopefully it's not too drawn out, but if so, then it is what it is.
