Definitely run over to the box store and get a headset since it comes with it's own mic and is an easy plug and play. You'll need it for future stuff anyway if you're looking to do work that might involve telework.

as far as the log splitter goes, it's electric and still new in box. heck the snow blower is also electric (dual power battery and plug in for light work). I'm not looking to sell...only pass it along to someone who can really use it. I bought a new construction home on 4 acres and just bought stuff I thought I would need...and just never really did.

Shady stuff right there....they need to be met with a gun in the driveway for sure! They're pretty dumb to try to pull that stuff with folks along the blue ridge anyway....not like it's fairfax county in Northern VA!

You should have heard what was I was thinking yesterday. On the phone trying to get my 401K statement in a paper statement for the third time. First thing they ask me is what is your social security number, yeah right. After an hour on the phone I think I got it squared away.

no the kids will never hear from them again. I had an area legit local paving company come next day for expert opinion incase they are dumb enough to take it to court. his est. was $450 max and that was pushing it. patch was like less than an inch thick cold rolled. the $450 covered the asphalt and labor.

    Good Morning :hattip:

Rain later, we don't it. Got plenty last week. Water is high out back but draining quickly.

They tried the same thing here also. I happened just days before I had a real local company black my driveway.

Also had 2 guys stop trying to sell steaks. Saying they were in the area and they wanted to get rid of the remaining inventory. One guy was trying to keep me busy at the door. When I saw the second guy get out of the van I grabbed my phone and headed outside. ( Gun was not close by at the time) The second guy started laying out all this frozen meat. I told them Leave Now Your Trespassing and I started to call the local sheriff. It took them about 20 seconds to pack and leave. I then called neighbors to warn them.

To save you from going through the thread. My house was built in 72, building codes were sketchy, and rarely inforced. Some of the small cottages are now twice the size and full time homes. All kinds of problems.

Similar BS around here. Last Fall my GF told me about someone that was "resealing" a driveway in the neighborhood and had extra sealant and didn't want it to go bad, so they would reseal her driveway at a discounted price. Before she could tell them "NO", one of the gypsies started spraying shit everywhere while the other one told her to get a check and fill it out for a certain amount. She told them that she wasn't going to do that and offered a tiny bit of cash and if they didn't like that they could call the cops. They left and never came back. I lost it when she told me about it.

Thanks everyone for the advice on an aux camera/mic. I will go out and grab one.

I definitely have a need for a splitter, I need a splitter than can be put into a vertical position as most of my rounds are in the 2' range. I always look on MP for a broken one that I could fix and use. New ones are just too far out of $$ range to justify the expense.

got to see something new today. i needed a 5/8-11 wingnut for a truck project. we dont stock wing nuts that big. so took a 1/2 “ wing nut. drilled it out and tapped it 5/8-11. was sandblasting it in the shop to paint,my bud machinist said they just got a small powder coat set up. so he powder coated it. its a neat process.
