I doubt if it's a real issue 4R has had 5 link for quite a while now. Frontier has the inboard rear shocks wich mount pretty low on the axle not an issue if you aren't going off road the mounts on the Nissan still might be lower than on this new Tacoma.

With front bumper armor and sliders this is going to look very good.

I got a nice Tundra long bed expected to come in with in a few months. I can put your name on it for a $500 deposit, if you need the bed space.

I don't think there will be anything other than DCSB for the Tacoma. No AC and no DCLB.

I'm wondering what the lower trim Tacos will have stamped in the tailgate, if anything? Will guys with non-pros be trading to be a pro poser, like the guys with the fake pro badges!?!o_O

Probably will say Tacoma, every other truck except for Ram has the model name stamped in the tailget. Chevy says Chevrolet except when you option for the multi flex tailgate you get a bow tie emblem.

I prefer the plain tailgate and would prefer the manufacturer name over the model name if something has to be stamped in the gate.

It's become so common I don't really notice it any longer.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
Gonna be just like the tundra, if you want that engine you’ll have to buy a pro… finally the Pro might make sense buying… maybe it will have a hood scoop with a hole in it.

I think the access cab will still exist, but with mini regular opening doors instead of the current style clamshell doors.

I disagree, it all has to do with economy of scale. The Tacoma out sales all its competitors 2:1 or more. Because of this they can offer more variety then the competition with competitive pricing.

Looking pretty "all hat, no cattle" for my taste, but that's certainly the way Toyota's design language has been moving.

If there is an acces cab that's what I think it will be that's how 3G Tundra is. The door on the electric concept has a shorter rear door and is also a short bed. That could be a one of AC short bed.

Toyota could also be abandoning the fleet market and discontinue the AC, they probably wouldn't lose any retail sales with only the DCSB being available.

GM will only offer 4dr short bed. Rumoured that Ford will discontinue their extended cab on 6G Ranger and might offer a long bed 4dr. What impact that will have on Toyota has yet to be seen. Nissan currently offers all three configurations.

Agree that’s the only reason I picked up a 23 and not a fan of all the piano key shiny black interior trim. If I’m wrong and they have a long bed double cab option so be it. I still so far prefer 3rd gen body style and angles. Just wish it had the updated infotainment center but hey maybe that can swap with the new head unit, cross fingers haha

Traditionally that's been how Toyota has been doing things. Changing things don't really make sense, but that still might happen.

I don't think Toyota is going to pump a lot if these trucks out in the 1year, as it will take more time to get the all new trucks out, coupled with economic factors there isn't much incentive to build a lot of trucks, they only have to build more than any other manufacturer to retain their crown. Seems like a safe bet for Toyota to stick with one configuration now.
