I wonder if there is a cross reference for that bearing? No reason to pay the JD upcharge if you don't have to.

    Amirite?

McMaster - Carr has a wide range of them along with the washers. Looks like you could match a set up for less than $20.

This could be a nice cheap upgrade for just about any tractor.

Thanks for the idea @Tacoma Mike

Just finished up rebuilding and installing new hydro pumps on this girl. Of course new oil and filter. I think the oil cost more than the parts to rebuild the pumps. It's a hella messy job. It would suck more if you had to do the job off jack stands. Tested out and she tracks straight.

It still needs a starter and a deck belt. The starter wants to hang up and it takes a couple key cycles for it to engage. It's a known issue with Kohler starters.

This one has the weird Z stand. Some sort of on board jack for lifting the front end so you can change blades. Kinda sketchy in my opinion. Hopefully I have it to the road by Friday.PXL_20230401_205049399.jpg PXL_20230401_205014285.jpg

I go thru a bunch of these starters.

I'm curious if there is an automotive equivalent? I'd have no issue paying a bit more if I could source it locally instead of having to wait the 3-5 days.

I really like this cleaner! I don't know how something that works so good can be so cheap from the Dollar Tree dollar stores!

I'm going to have to look into that. Have a Cub I need to replace valve cover gaskets on and the leaking has caused a huge mess.

Is that a starter that fits the Kohler engines? Can you buy the complete starter? Thanks for the hunting!

10455513 this a number I found stamped into the brushes plate. I don't know if that will help.

I can't be 100% sure. I just picked numbers from the part numbers shown in the Amazon listing you linked, and Googled them. There is another ebay seller that shows $44 plus $6 shipping. The one I had linked says free shipping and returns.

I think they stink too, but are pretty good at covering the weed smell. Uh, so I've been told anyways... :anonymous:

    Sorry
DES2009 I have not been on this website much lately. I noticed you asked me a question a few weeks back. I have the Kawasaki engine in my Scag 36. It has taken me a bit of time to get used to the parking brake thing as well. Mine only sputters a bit when I realize my error in not setting the brake and do it while the engine is halfway shutting down and then restarts when I reach for the brake handle and get it engaged the way it should have done in the firrst place don't fret about it too much, as every time I use my mower I get a bit moreused to using it in the way that Scag designed it.
