I’m due to replace my CV axles. With stock axles are all on backorder everywhere I’ve looked online from a reputable dealer such as sparks Toyota etc. Ive been researching and ran across the cvjs.
i Would like to gather as much feedback on these from ppl with experience on here as possible as they look to be a better than stock option snd even though they’re not cheap they are more affordable than the rcvs which make them appealing to me if they’re an actual upgrade to stock as they claim they are. Thanks

You will be doing the job? If so then you can buy the maintenance kit which comes with boots and grease and you can keep your superior cv’s. It’s messy but it’s worth it.

Other than the high angle boots I don't see how these are an upgrade over stock. They are just rebuilt.

JDFab/RCV are an upgrade and hence why they cost $2k.

Look for some low mile take offs from www.car-part.com

Yes I already replaced the clicking cv on the driver side last night with an auto zone duralast gold they had locally just to keep me on the road and did the ecgs bushing /needle bearing replacement. The clicking has gone away besides now it’s clicking while sharp turning so I believe that it’s inner tie rod gone bad on driver side. I replaced my passenger outer tie rod last year when it was bent and unable to get a good alignment done and shoudve just done both then.
I’m trying to cancel my order from sparks currently that I placed and paid tor expedited shipping on last Wednesday that still has not shipped. I can do it myself and plan on installing myself. Is the maintenance kit just a rebuild kit?

Ive been doing a ton of maintenance on my truck lately which was initially to get rid of the lower ball joint clink on driver side however when I replaced my inner tie rods i believe I may have overtightened it and screwed up my steering rack.
However I’ve been trying to use process of elimination(oem inner/outer tie rods, cv axles, oem driver side hub and bearings, oem lower control arms and properly torqued with weight on the wheels)
I also did the carrier bearing swap from ecgs chsnged diff fluids with amsoil 75-90, flushed power steering with valvoline maxlife, and initially thought I may have ruined my pump by allowing air in the hoses but I’ve gotten the air out since. Also replaced sway bar bushings and end links originally then just today I removed the sway bar thinking it was possibly bent. It will not be going back on. I love the feel of the truck without it after test driving it on the interstate and highways with curves at 55 and above.
sorry for the overload of info just trying to give as much info as what I’ve done so far so somebody can help me diagnose this issue. At this point I’m just gonna DIY bc I’ve came this far.. I’m going ape shit trying to figure this out as the noise has gotten embarrassing lately!
I believe it’s one of two components steering rack or power steering pump making this awful noise and it’s gotten a little worse everyday for the last month or so which has gone from an annoying creak or skreetch and lately I’ve heard a low pitched growl or groan as well while tyrning the wheels at slower speeds.. could it be a duralast cv axle already going bad since replacing it? Could it be that I didnt get the ecgs bushing far enough in the diff?
    PLEASE HELP
what symptoms do you typically notice when your rack is going bad? Any other ideas? I’ve never had any issues from this truck until I started replacing shit over a clunk noise and it’s really wearing me out chasing it down lately. I’ve spent way too much money on parts that weren’t even bad evidently during this chase and process of elimination

I found and bought a salvaged oem steering rack from a totaled 2019 Tacoma. Any suggestions other than just replace parts? Lol
