That will happen with any remote start on any Toyota vehicle

Mine doesn't turn off until I push the brake without the key in the ignition. If the keys in it's fine.

dunno how it works with push button start

I have a aftermarket on my other push start vehicle and I even programmed it not to shut off when the door opens but it still does. Don’t think it can be bypassed.

Without push to start you are fine from what I understand.
Give it a couple hours and the manual gang will be here to crow about physical keys, not having restart their trucks after opening the door and confirm

I had a Compustar on a previous vehicle, not Taco. It was the best remote I ever had. It was a 2 way system so you could tell if the the vehicle was started and running or not. Crazy long range. It would start the vehicle from 1/2 mile away when I was sitting in a concrete sports stadium. Could program things like how long it ran after start before turning off. I'm pretty sure installer or you can bypass the shutting off when door open thing.
