I'd like to see how Wrangler 4xe sales are compared to traditional Wrangler. Very odd vehicle segment to introduce a plug in hybrid option. Wrangler sales are down over 17% this year. I don't think the 4xe is helping move wranglers.

Ford is building a new factory to burn money at a faster rate. They are supposedly building their next gen battery electric truck there. I've never seen so much as render of what that truck might look like.

Ford being one of the only new trucks I'd buy today. Lower trim F-150 or SD, followed by a Ram Classic 1500 or GM 1500 also only in a low trim configuration. Everything else is in the beyond ridiculous price range for a new pick up.

Looks like the fuel tank sits much lower than the axle tube. That's going to be the sacrifice for having a lower floor:

What kinda issues have you experienced? Not trying to knock you or the truck but I'm genuinely curious on what some of the early year problems were.

taking “losses” to write off as they invest massively into scaling BEV production. Supply can’t meet the huge demand, so they are dumping billions in cash now to be able to make 2M BEV’s a year by 2026. Because the writing is clearly on the wall….

If you got 38% on a test that's still a failing grade. Wow I can't believe the 4xe makes up 38% of all Wrangler sales for Q1, it's still under 15,000 units. I wouldn't call it a success yet. Jeep dealer near me has a bunch of Wranglers, ripe for summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see them suspended production sometime soon.

The 4xe was a cool idea but poorly executed. It cost 10,000 more than the ice and has an extremely clunky power train. Switching between EV and the gas engine is borderline jarring. It can only go 20 miles on pure EV. When in pure EV mode you are stuck with a 130 hp motor. People are reporting much lower real world MPGe than advertised, between 15-25 compared to an advertised 50. When the EV battery is depleted it gets worse fuel economy than a regular turbo 4 banger jeep. I can see why sales are relatively small, especially knowing Jeep buyers.

Too small. I like the Maverick but park it next to a Ranger and it looks like a Pinto. Between the larger trucks and heavy EV on the road the compacts start to look sketchy.

"Toyota has nothing to be faithful to, they sell the most popular mid size truck no matter what they do."

    Now THAT's a dangerous ethos.
