overrated, thought the same till I realized I’d rather have the cab space than the one day a week I’m riding and found a ready ramp which acts like a tailgate

    2025 Tundra Platinum OR
Noisy rear diff/ new leafs and dampner
3rd brake light recall/service campaign (wasn't leaking though)
2 or 3 software flashes for ECU/TCU, none since 2018
    Frame cap/rust prevention stuff
    Blower motor service campaign
    Noisy lower A Arm plugs
Door sill rust in all 4 doors
    HPFP Chirp
    leaky rear diff
    rear brakes squeak

Probably some other stuff. I actually have gotten lucky and missed the real bad ones like timing cover/crossover pipe leaks... so far.

Also, note that several of the issues I have had persist to this day on new Tacoma's. So if you buy an early version, or go buy one today, you face the same obstacles. The leaking timing cover, cross over pipe and noisy rear diff being the big ones.

The door sill one sucked the most, truck was in the shop the longest for that. Stuff like the software flashes are what you would generally skip by buying a later model, I haven't had a software update since 2018.

I have had no real issues with the tranny/shifting or motor issues since Oct. of 18 and even then the biggest issue was the delay which the TSB addressed.
