Turns out I know what I'm doing ha

Everything ran fine...new barrel, comp and trigger...ran 50 rounds of Aguila 115gr, 50 rounds of Fiocchi 147gr, and 50 rounds of Fiocchi 158gr...

Chamber was very tight and had trouble getting the first couple of rounds into battery but after that everything cycled like it should

    So with that being said

The Agency 2 port comp will work with a Zaffiri Precision barrel...although Zaffiri just released their own comp today

Question for the Glock family. I have a new Glock 19 gen 3. I’ve had it to the range twice, total of at least 400+ rounds through it. I used Remington Range 9mm both times. The first outing I had a couple mis feeds. Used only Glock magazines. Today same ammo and used both Glock magazines and some Magpul magazines I recently bought. Today numerous mis feeds with both Glock and Magpul and it was worse with the Magpuls (not surprising). I didn’t have any other ammo with me to try today. Last time I fired around 30 or so rounds of Blazer nylon jacked 9mm with no problems. I only had 30 or 40 rounds of the Blazer ammo. (Old stuff I wanted to use up). I’m hoping the problem is the Remington Range ammo. I doubt it’s the magazines since I used 2 different brand mags and had mis feeds with both. I’m going to the range again Wednesday with 3 different brands of ammo and see what happens. I’m hoping I don’t have to return it to Glock under warranty, that will be a pita.
Have any of you experienced mis feeds like this? Due to ammo? Due to something else?

Remington ammo is some of the worst quality control i’ve experienced when it comes to ammo. I literally read an article last year where they had to recall some pistol ball ammo in specific calibers because projectiles were installed backwards when the casings were loaded on the assembly line.

Secondly, I dont think they would do anything for you warranty wise. They would just tell you not to use light duty or low quality ammo. Glock has been notorious for telling people to use good ammo and never shoot reman or reloaded ammo through their pistols. Many people ignore that, myself included. YMMV as always.

I hope that helps, and i’m sorry you’ve had the headache…

personally I have had problems with remington ammo, some winchester, and maxxtech. I dont think I have ever had a failure to feed with my glock though. At least not one that i didnt simulate by putting dummy rounds in my mags… :anonymous:

Have a gen 3 glock 19. only problems I have ever had with misfeeds or failure to eject, was the ammo.
try different ammo before anything.....willing to bet that cures it.

G19 is light. Make sure you're not limp wristing it. Point thumbs forward so that as much slide inertia as possible is forced forward, and doesn't get "absorbed" by wrist linkage.......

Finally got to shoot the glock yesterday. Shots all over the place so still have some work to do. But love how it shoots. Put 200 rounds through it.

Glock 19 failure to feed. As I reported a couple days ago my new Glock 19 was failing to feed at the range. Out of 200+ rounds it jammed 10 or more times. I was using Remington Range 9mm ammo. It’s all I brought with me that day. Today I brought 3 different brands of ammo to the range (no Remington Range ammo). I also as last time used both Glock and Magpul 10 round magazines. (In California 10 round is the max). The gun worked flawlessly with both types of magazines and with all 3 brands of ammo. Not a single hiccup. I noticed that all three brands today were hotter rounds than the Remingtons. Definitely a little more kick. The Remington rounds are anemic, I think either the type of powder or the amount they use is the problem.
I now see why the Remington were so cheap when I bought them. Ain’t never using Remington 9mm again. Love the Glock.

I have used the Remington Range in an older Spanish Star 9mm. No problems, no failures to feed, no jams. So you may be ok. I’ve been told that the Glock will fire just about anything but it sure didn’t like the Remington Range. Maybe after the gun was well broken in and loosened up but I ain’t going to find out. Never buying that shit again.

Did you clean and then lube the Glock before you went to the range?

Both of mine, i did not clean before “breaking in” but i have read that a lot of people do clean them before they shoot them and they get all that copper colored gunk out of them right away. Maybe i’d try that on my next one. :notsure:

I've never removed the copper anti-seize from slides, but I've added more to a few. It's better than grease or oils, IMO.

Other than the barrels, I don't really clean any of my glocks.

I alway's clean a new gun / pistol before shooting it. I use Tetra Gun grease on all my stuff. it stays where you put it and it holds up well.
Some of my Glocks have had to get broken in but I do not use Remington Ammo. It's just not on the shelf around here like other ammo.

Yes. I clean and lube all my guns every time after I use them. I know it’s not necessarily necessary every time but it’s what I do. I also use only minuscule amounts of lubricant as learned from a gunsmith/armorer I use to know.
