That is bizarre. Did they at least not charge you for the mats? If so, even though it's annoying they didn't come with the truck, I think the weather techs will protect your truck better.

By the way, the seating in this thing is obnoxious. I can figure it out but I hate having to.

I've heard seat jackers help. I think one company raises the front of the seat like bucket style. And another has one to raise the rear maybe?

That is obnoxious. I would definitely check on that though. I am supposed to get the floor mats with my truck and it is a $258 add-on.

Also, I used to have some seat spacers in the back of the seat to help with seat position in my last 2nd gen. It helped a lot being 6'3"

It should be black. Here’s the inside of mine. Headliner is black too, can’t see much of it in the pictures. I think what helped me get mine faster was that it shipped before it was put on hold. Then sat at the place where the delivery truck would pick it up until the hold ended. Built 1/31, rail depart 2/1, placed on hold 2/17, rail arrive 2/23, sat on hold for a while, on truck for delivery 3/30, hit the dealership 3/31. Mine was also built at the Tijuana plant so didn’t have to get on a boat. Went by rail from Tijuana to San Diego to logistics center in Princeton, IN. Sat on hold in Princeton, then got on a delivery truck from there when the hold lifted.

Nice, truck looks great! I was wanting all black and by your photos it almost looks like there's not much chrome to cover up on any of the knobs! I've held off on ordering some stuff till I get it in hand and can see what I can live with or not. Going to do that ac drain mod really quick though.

I bought my 2009 Reg Cab at Larry H Miller Boulder which I believe is now Corwin, somebody correct me if I’m wrong (same address.) They were so bad I actually left a bad review at the time which was out of character for me. Their sales department was unbelievably sleazy and their service department lied, cheated, and took my truck for a joy ride. I’m buying my new SR from Groove Toyota and so far has been so much better.

Coulda been the location, or it could been Larry H Miller. They have a shitload of dealerships, Mark Miller Subaru (son or brother) in SLC cheated me on a bad engine that had open recalls (and also a lawsuit, which i believe forced the recalls). I have no respect for how the miller family does business, no wonder they so rich.

Not too much chrome. Parts I can think of off the top of my head are rings around AC vents, ring on 4wd selector knob, emblem on steering wheel, and the door handles.

wait, that’s interesting. there’s no mats + door sill protectors on your window sticker? thought I read here, and also under the impression from observation when I was searching dealerships for my truck, that this was an automatic PIO added to all trucks, or at least the TRDORs…

I went back and checked your build and there were definitely no floor mats on the build sheet.

FWIW, if your truck had floor mats your truck would have cost you $258 more than whatever you paid, which is probably more than you paid for the Weather Techs.

From the dealer perspective, most people don’t realize that vehicles do NOT automatically come with floor mats, but that doesn’t mean that your dealer should be responsible for paying for them either. Floor mats are simply another added cost accessory like mud flaps, door edge guards or a tonneau cover.

I’ve “thrown in” accessories like mats or a tonneau cover to make a sale depending on how badly I want to make that particular deal, but those things cost me money. If I “throw in” a tonneau cover, for example, it’s no different than me discounting my truck $1000 or whatever it costs me to add it that to the truck. Further to that, those are things to be discussed and negotiated at the time a deal is consummated, not at time of delivery. I don’t know where your dealer stood in the overall deal, but asking for floor mats on delivery is simply asking your dealer to discount the truck an additional $258 after a price has been agreed to.

Your salesperson should have noted that your truck didn’t have floor mats and had a discussion with you about it at the very least. That’s a failing on his or her part. I train my salespeople to look for that kind of stuff and get in front of it so we don’t have any misunderstandings or hurt feelings on delivery.
