pretty similar to this thread honestly. “The end of Toyota reliability o_O” or “car engine in a truck ” or my favorite “why would they replace my manly torque monster 4.0 “. Almost a decade later of lot of those predictions have fallen flat.

Glad I got my low-tech AC MT when I had the chance.

Nicely appointed 6MT AC TRD OR will still be offered, but only for the folks up North.

I find something to like about all the Tacos. I am sure I will find plenty to like in the 4th gen. I'll keep my 22 and it's manual cuz it is fun plain and simple. If I started to have a hard time driving it due to a hip injury or the like, I would not hesitate to get a 4th gen... I mean it's not like there is a lot of choice out there...

No hood scoop I wonder? It would make sense on a turbo four. Also looks like no physical tailgate handle, must be a button like Tundra, hopefully it locks with the keyfob

Hilux hasn't had a scoop for its last two redesigns and when it did it was functional on the turbo diesel.

I'd like to see what that's going to look like. I doubt if it's going share the chonky monky look of the Tacoma.

I see them, I'm just not sure why anyone choose it over the gas Wrangler.

Seems like they're not going to release any more today. Toyota made a pretty big deal out of just releasing a tailgate pic.

Oh, yeah, for sure. The new guy gets the shit end until someone newer comes along and then we get to be all high and mighty. Sophomore comes from Sophos (wise) and moros (fool, think moron).

Turd gen will probably always be turd. Same chassis as second gen, some special lights and new looks, with a dumb drive train before the turbo comes in for the fourth gen.

I won't buy a fourth because mine has another 250k ish before I consider dropping it, and/or after this - Tacoma's are good but just not worth it. If the costs are comparable I'll get another one but likely won't be in the future.

We’re supposed to all be excited about the hybrid badge on the tailgate. Lame.

I'd have to assume that an iForce Max powerplant would be well into the 300's (HP).

But will still have 6th+ gear issues. Even if it has 8…… 1-5 will be your best friend

Well fellas it looks like we got blue balled for a tailgate picture. I’m sure we’ll see the same marketing as the tundra. One pic every week or so
