The FMS LC80 is a funny one. It has a aluminum frame and seems pretty stable. The weird part is it seems like a sister company? makes a cheaper version of it with a plastic frame and some cheaper components. Looks like EazyRC is the name on this Amazon listing but I swear ive seen other names for it.

I think EazyRC is a distributor, like BeezRC and WowRC, but could be wrong. FMS and Rochobby are related somehow. prolly all come from the same China factory with various levels of parts.
My fcx24 came from EazyRC at a slightly lower cost than the rest.
Just ordered a 1/12 Willys, thru Prime, manufactured by Rochobby but sold and advertised thru FMS.

Edit, I got that backwards, it's manufactured by FMS but sold and distributed by Rochobby. Must be a contract of some kind there.

Can someone photo shop these wheels on this truck? Trying to decide on what I like. Either truck pic will do, doesn't have to be both.

It's an older Expresscraft Cheetah. I don't know if they are still in business.

Here is what I was talking about.

Did some crawling over the weekend with my GF. Servo gave out on my stock TRX4M, no big surprise but kind of stinks. She enjoyed her Bronco though so that’s cool. Put some limiting bands on the scx and it’s a lot more stable on climbs/descents. Then took out my Jimny and blew out an axle lol - productive weekend.

Traxxas is the worst. Today multiple aftermarket makers got notice that they had to stop selling things they designed to improve performance of a Traxxas vehicle.... Never Traxxas for me.

Where did you see this? I definitely believe you as that sounds like a very Traxxas thing to do, but I find it hard to believe that other companies can be barred from making aftermarket parts. Looks like I may have to put an Injora cart together for the trx4m.

You can find the trademark registration here. Reddit even has a thread going.

Looking at the letter, Traxxas is saying "you cannot use our name in your product description". The main reason for doing this is to protect the Traxxas name so that consumers are not led to believe the products are endorsed by or licensed through Traxxas. Historically, if you do not protect or defend patents or trademarks, you may lose the protection they offer making it an almost required letter.

At the most, these vendors will need to reword the pages so that they don't say "Traxxas". However, there have been cases before the 9th Circuit that imply you can still use "Traxxas" in your wording. Gonna need a lawyer to approve the wording. Otherwise, give it a few weeks and it will get sorted out.

It's not the first time they gave done something like this. A couple years ago they tried to do the same with anything, rc or not with Maxx in the name. Recently that FMS Max Smasher 1/24 monster truck has one against it.

You cannot blame them for defending their trademarks or intellectual property. In the motorcycle world, there are a whole buttload of new bikes from Chinese manufacturers that are effectively direct ripoffs of BMW and others.
