Lol, you know how it is. If your driver starts on the front row and after a couple pit stops can’t seem to run better than 15th it’s a snooze fest and your praying Chastain wrecks the top of the field to maybe squeak a top ten finish

 

To be fair, people tend to classify anything without lots of passing to be "boring." Yet if every race was like that, our definition would shift as the product became stale. People seem to be quick to forget the times the leader would have a 6 second lead after 10-15 laps into a run at an intermediate track. Although, back then, you could also easily lose a ton of track position on most tracks and gain most of it back on track if your car was handling well enough.

 

People loved Dale. He knocked people out of his way to win races. I loathed him for that... But I respected him.

Yeah, but it’s dirt so….

 

I don’t know, I was/am a massive Dale Sr fan. Dale did things with finesse and demonstrated a lot of skill too. He could also get the people he wrecked to like him. Ross just seems like he is over his head most of the time. It took a ton of talent in the cars that Dale was in. Ross is in a tank running over shit. I mean Dale was an aggressive driver but he was also respected. I just can’t compare Dale and Ross. Dale was an asshole with class and made a lot of the guys he ran over on the track rich. He worked hard for everything and Ross is just a rich kid with no respect.

 

Agreed! Not a fan of the dirt. May end up watching the Masters instead

 

Yeah, I just can’t get into it at all. These cars are a shit show on dirt. It’s like racing tractors at Daytona. Not for me.

 

I like the dirt. I'm just hoping they try it somewhere other than Bristol next season. Maybe come back in a few years.

Kaulig had their appeal today. Their suspensions and fines also remain, but their points penalty was amended to 75 despite being the same violation as Hendrick. I believe the appeals panel was different though.

 

That’s fucking dumb. Should have given the points back but I doubt they had the legal team and case of HMS. Truth be told they are probably the only ones who didn’t do anything wrong.

HMS penalized again after the 24 and 48 were randomly selected after last week's race. Penalized for modifications to the greenhouse area.
