With headlights off got the dim low light. With headlights on I got the bright high light.

It seems to be the connector to the module, wired incorrectly. V2?

High (bright) side uses cab illumination dome fuse which is always on (turns off 20 min after vehicle is off) and the ILE to dim to off.
Low (dim) uses the Tail/Panel/Park circuit.
If switch over head switch is off, V2 do not function. So my guesstimate is bad circuit select on the R44 connector in the overhead console.
P.S. remove the "V2" connector and return to OEM and test cabin illumination.

Ok so the R44 connector, is that something on the V2 harness or OEM truck side?

Everything else lighting wise worked fine as it always did with the harness hooked up. It is only the footwell led's not playing nice.

Also to add, it did finally switch off when hooked up original way (high to high/low to low) after 20 minutes. So I am starting to understand it some now. Whatever the ILE is, it seems like it did not signal for it to dim off.

R44 is the connector that attaches to the V2 (v2 is a male & female R44)

Still not the function it's suppose to do.
Footwell bright at unlock and door opened, vehicle off, overhead switch to Door.
Door closed, truck ON, footwells OFF, overhead still at door position.
Overhead at ON, cab illumination ON, Footwells ON (Bright)
Vehicle ON, tails selected, Footwells ON (dim), overhead switch still at door position.

I will double check the overhead connection tomorrow when it is daylight and report back. Thank you for all the help and the last post with the descriptions!

Checked everything again today. Hooked up correctly according to labels on wires. Overhead switch does nothing, they are always on high regardless of overhead switch, door open or closed and headlights on or off.

Yeah that is what it appears to be. I spoke with Eli at Vleds customer service and he came to the same conclusion. They already have a replacement enroute and should be here Friday. Very solid customer service.

If you have another chat with Eli, let him know I still would like a non-functional V6...:poking:

And I finally installed the new harness today. It was super easy, I'm not sure what took me so long.

Any chance to get these at 4000K? trying to keep the lighting color in my truck pretty warm.
