Same thing I worry about this new Gen. V6s are proven engines. is this 2.4T good for reliability? we won't know until the miles start racking up. I for sure will wait until the 2-3 year of this gen at least to think about trading my 3rd gen

i worry about a plenum flap failure and dropping a valve on the V6 as documented.

i don't think i would worry anymore about a turbo failure but, i would not buy the first year or two of any vehicle.

I heard there may be issues with either the flux capacitor or the left phalange.

The National Post in Canada is saying we can expect more teaser photos until the full release in mid-May.

So much for the New York show rumours…..

I changed the lighting in the picture on Toyota’s website to try to get a little more detail. Two things I noticed:
1.Rear lower controls to support everyone’s thoughts it will be rear coil spring suspension instead of leaf springs.
2.The rear departure angle doesn’t look very good.

Those letters are 2-3” stickers. Now the fad is 6, 8, 10” 3D lettering. Also why would you want a giant TRD PRO on your tailgate? What do those letters even mean to non Toyota people? Is that a new exterminator company? Are you a professional at Toyota racing development? It’s goofy.

Why do you think the AC is done? I see many ACLB everyday. Infact, I see them more than I do DCLB and in various trims like SR fleets trucks, SR SX packages and TRD SPORT trims very often.

Toyota should be taking what works and adding new stuff not taking away.

Yeah, I think most of the renderings will be fairly close. I am ready for those interior pictures. I spend more time looking at the inside than I do the outside of the truck

It’s kinda giving me that vibe when you are excited to meet up with an ex girlfriend, but she spent the last 6 years eating chocolate cake.

I have a Motogate for when I haul more than 1 bike already. It works but I stiull use up all of my bed space. I honestly am not sure if I could do that standard shortbed. And I need the doublecab. So I will be interested to see if they keep that configuration. If not, I may have to go with a Tundra if/when my 3rd gen needs replaced.

I'm hesitant to say it but I think Toyota could benefit a lot by taking some cues from Ford. The new Ranger is all 4cyl but has one option for the upgraded engine (tt v6). I understand most things are going 4cyl for smaller vehicles but it would be great to have at least one model with an optional v6 engine upgrade for those that are willing to pay for serious performance. They could easily put in a detuned version of the Tundra v6 and it would be awesome, even if just in the TRD Pro.
