I could be wrong, but it's not looking good currently. And it could be a good thing. All of the next-gen mid-sizes will be out or announced. So that opens the door for more choices. And it could kill prices in the used markets.

 

I was talking to someone last night and I thought the same thing. Plants will be shutting down 2023 production to get ready for 2024 models, which means the supply chain is already focusing on 2024. That's part of what's making the supply chain tight right now. I think when 2024 models hit the markets they will be in greater numbers than we're seeing for the 2023 stuff. Add to it that a lot of auto makers have been focused on taking orders instead of just building vehicles, I think it points that way. 2024 should be better. I saw a Motor Trend article yesterday that said that kind of planning was affecting some of the Bronco models that share the Ranger production line.

 

2024! Bring on the 3cyl 1.3 liter quad turbo vvvvvti engines!

I was hoping for a Suzuki Jimny.

 

They are pretty cool. Mark is well versed in suzuki, he educated me in a common engine swap for those. I think it was a hellcat motor or something.

 

There's a chance of needing a cowl induction hood for that swap.
