You got a 6 hour lunch break?

 

That thing looks like a modern girdle.

 

6hrs then lunch break. Lunch break was 5 or 10 min

 

I gotta shut off auto correct.

 

That sounds tasty, wife and I try and eat healthy 6 days a week. There is a really cool restaurant in Kalamazoo that has all organic/free range/non GMO food for breakfast/lunch. We go there as often as our checkbook will allow.

 

Power came back on around 0245 this morning, and all the devices chirping woke me up.

Gumpy-er old-er man today, but at least I'm upright.

 

Knee pain sucks!!! Yes, as we grow old and reminisce about all the sports we played in HS and college ... those days come back to haunt you! I am on my second SYNVISC shot and doing quite well. The first one was in 2020 and lasted until Dec. of '22, when I got my second. Doc said this is no x-ray or MRI that will tell me when you need a total replacement, only YOU will be telling me once the pain is constant and unbearable. So, I'm hoping my left knee will hold out two more years, then I will discuss the replacement. Had two ACL tears, my left in 1986 (indoor soccer) and the right one (lacrosse) was done in 2005. My right knee is fine, didn't have the 'triad' tear I did with the left! Bottom line, SYNVISC is doing its job and doing it very well! Wouldn't mind knowing where you picked up that brace, though ... just for added support!

 

I guess it's not morning anymore, so good brunch everyone. Supposed to be in the 80's again and need to get out and till the garden spot. Almost time to start planting.

 

Fully understand, but isn't that the dichotomy to fit all, ... you're limited in your movement and therefore you can't exercise like you use to, ... so weight just piles on! And Yes, as great Louie Depalma once said in one episode of Taxi and I'm taking a little poetic license here, I think I need to lose about 10-70 lbs and my knees will feel better! The Ortho gave me some calculation about for every 10lbs I lose, it relieves about 40-50lbs of pressure off your knees!!

 

Before I had my first ACL reconstruction, I was fitted with the brace Joe Namath made famous, the Lenox-Hill. Old, clunky, brace!! Hated it!!

 

Oh, and while it's morning, ... a Good morning and Happy Hump day to all!!

 

The brace I showed pics of was given to me at my Ortho doctor's office yesterday.

 

Morning Mike. spring temps are starting to overtake winter here. still some frost at nite. whats your weather like in April in the great far North?

 

Ive had one rebuilt. my ACL wasnt even doing anything and meniscus was all messed up. seems the knee injections do work for me at least. he cleaned it up and made a new ACL with a strip out of my hamstring. only because my legs had good muscle as i work on my feet or it would have been a replacement.

 

I’m the same way when I see one like him I just want to squeeze their guts out! But I know how he is he’s absolutely crazy about two people and the rest of the world is off his Christmas card list lol.

it's going to get up to 80-ish today.... crazy stuff. I'm off to buy some lumber to get started back on the deck project. All of the joists shrunk over the winter ( dried out?) and now none of the bottoms are touching the bottom of the joist hangers. While I was unnailing them last night, one of the joists split right down the middle on me. Now I'm beyond paranoid that all of this lumber isn't going to last very long.
