I have a 2023 SR V6 and want to install OEM fog lights and accumulating parts. Can I just cut out my fog light blank covers to fit fog lights or are they too different to fit properly and result in a hack job?

I think you have to replace them entirely. I don't think the SR tabs have mounting point for fogs even if you hack them. * I don't know for sure though* could go and check

    Your sig says SR5 though.

SR5 has been corrected to SR. Thanks!

There doesn't appear to be any mounting points on the covers themselves, so my assumption is that you can mount OEM lights without them. I just don't want them to look like a hack job. It must be wife-approved!

Wondering if maybe you can source a bumper, same color as your vehicle w the fogs in them. Sometimes it could be a cheaper and better route.

Just to give you an idea, there are a lot of folk upgrading to metal/aluminum bumpers.

Try your local offerup/fb market etc. Then add the fogs you want. Do it right, rather than do it twice.

Not sure if you ever got a correct answer (see none here) but you can remove the SR blank fog light covers and install the covers for fog lights easily, it’s a friction/press tab tab fit. I installed OEM fog lights with the covers on my 2019 SR.
Of course you have to address adding the switch, harness etc. I used the Nitori’s OEM fog light mod thread.

Were you also able to mount the fogs to the replacement bezel(s)? The OEM SR / SR5 bezel without the holes has to be completely removed correct?

Correct. Pops out easily with a trim tool
