What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Yea I paid OEM price too but certainly don’t see the difference. If I had it to do over again I think I would go with aftermarket and save my money.

 

It's more than just lettering difference.

I've seen aftermarket grilles get sun fade / damage in a year of use vs never seeing that on an 7+ year old OEM grille. Not saying all do it but what I've seen.

 

Guess time will tell how those with aftermarket’s ones will hold up. Either way your truck will look great with it!!

I bought my OEM grille in Aug 2016 when there where no aftermarket options and paid a pretty penny for it. Even if I had to do it again I'd still go OEM but I'm no garnish so will still be a bit cheaper.

 

FWIW, I'm going on 6 years with this grille. Paid $95. Always parked outside with no sun fade. Lots of time driving through brush with no damage. And another plus when comparing to other like-grilles, the letters are mounted with self-tap screws so easy to remove and paint if so desired. Unfortunately I do not remember where I purchased from anymore but must've been in the states because I do remember shipping was free and less than a week.

 

Love the step! Saved me at least once from falling backwards due to all the rainy weather we've been getting lately.
