Sill cooler than I’d like but dam it’s raw…
Got the Gen put away and I said the hell with using the saw.
I’ll stay inside and try again tomorrow. Most if my outside swapping stuff is done
so I’m not in a hurry..

 

How did you get through Basic if your afraid of needles...

One of the branched of those two Pear trees came down in the storm we had a month ago. I cleaned up that branch, but my Aunt decided she wanted both of those trees to go away. It has been quite the job, them pear trees have way too many branches.

 

Oh, it was not a fun experience, let me tell you. Back then, as soon as they put the tourniquet on, I would fall over and come very close to passing out. When your blood pressure is 1/1, it's damn hard to get any to fill those vials.....

And back in mid 80's, we had mandatory AIDS testing every year during your birth month. Go to the base hospital?? Ha! Not at Ft Irwin/NTC... they had us report to our Company HQ building, and a few Medics (often E2/E3's) were doing the sticking. They always had to try 2, 3 or even 4 times to finally get blood from me. They were usually very inexperienced, and would almost always end up wiggling the needle and jabbing all over the place after they stuck it in me and didn't hit a vein. I do not have the proper vocabulary to describe what that feels like. Needle poking all around, hoping to hit something. Those experiences still haunt me to this day. It's really a mental/psychological thing for me, not pain. I can get through a 3 hour tattoo session, but 15 - 30 seconds of having blood drawn......is about all I can manage without passing out.

Got around to doing some tilling and mowing and now I'm at work already wore out.

I work 8 to 5 with an hour for lunch.

So I end up working 9 hours a day

I got the last of the oak leaves bagged up, grass mowed, and helped the wife get her plants potted all before lunch. After we ate it was nap time, I slept hard lol.

Getting ready to go to my Brothers house and currently under a Severe T storm watch

 

81° right now, all of the windows are open in the house. BY Friday night I will be back to running the woodstove, hopefully for the last weekend until November. The search for decent 2x8x12 lumber is mind numbing. Literally everything I saw at the box stores and 84 lumber were horrible for deck building. not a single clear piece to be found. I need 1 piece to be a rim joist and a place to hang the stair strings from.

Mmmm, I got an e-mail about an in-person interview on Monday at the DoD contractor design/manufacturing facility. I hope that it pans out, no other decent prospects on the horizon.
