    I did. But hybrid batteries last longer than 3-5 years and most 10 year old Prius still have the original batteries. Best way to avoid battery replacement is to not buy a hybrid.

    Definitely forced perspective. Same reason the bed looks to be a third of the length of the hood. Unless it really does have a two foot long bed.

    Unsubscribing. Going to the dealer this weekend to grab an allocation/order for a 2023 Sport in order to replace my 100k mile 2020 Sport. No 2024 for me.

    Ok, in Canada. In Quebec, that can’t happen. That’s the law (https://lpc.quebec/articles/article-224/).

    I think it'd be a ton of fun to get into a Badlands Bronco and see how it does on the trails. The 2 door Heritage robin egg blue looks fantastic too, bet it's a ton of fun on tight trails. Like a Jeep but it won't sheer body mounts if you turn too fast. :rofl:

    I am set on the Gen4 Tacoma Hybrid as I am all about the MPGs now. I am a big fan of Toyota Hybrid Engines.

    I have a 2015 Gen4 Prius and man, that Car is just awesome! I get about 42 MPGs for "regular driving", and about 45 MPGs if I drive conservatively.
    I see Youtube videos of people bragging about there Gen1 Priuses still on the road, and even if it bonks, you have the option of aftermarket plug in battery to keep it alive, but to be honest, even if you get nothing after 20 years, you will have gotten your money's worth. I know the Gen4 Prius has a much better and more reliable battery then Gen1 Prius, so I think my Gen4 Prius will still go another 150k miles and 15 years easily.

    Since I don't tow, I am OK with a 2.4L 4-cyclinder Turbo Engine for the Hybrid Tacoma. I just want the power when I step on the gas and when she revs high, I don't need the power all the time (aka low end torque). V8s are just gas guzzlers and are really OUTDATED for Cars/Trucks, they burn gas even when just idling.

    2019 lifted 4x4 Tundras with V8s and 35" tires only get like about 10 MPG. Toyota did the right thing by making the newer Tundra's a V6 Twin-Turbo, and now it gets decent MPGs (~20 MPG). My last truck, a 4x4 2006 Titan with 315s BFGS was also about 12 MPGs, and I was OK with it for how old it was, but considering it is 2023 now, I have no idea why big trucks these days still only get 12 MPGs. Has not Engine Tech advanced since then?

    What sucks about the new Tundra Hybrid is they only get like 2 MPGs better than the non-Hybrid Tundra (same trim). If the Gen4 Hybrid Tacoma it is NOT at least 30 MPGs then I am out, and I probably just pick up a non-Hybrid Gen4 Tacoma with V6.

    It’s not all full-size trucks getting bad mpg mainly just Toyota. You can get a Ram with the 5.7 hemi and get 22 mpg. It makes no sense why Toyota couldn’t get better mpg out of the Tundra with the same size engine.

    It's the same across the land. You can charge more than MSRP in Quebec as well. The S stands for suggested. You can charge less or more. All you have to do it clearly advertise this. What is illegal is posting a price online and then when you go to buy the car adding the markup.

    From your link:

    224. No merchant, manufacturer or advertiser may, by any means whatsoever:

    (a) give, in an advertising message, less importance to the price of a set of goods or services than to the price of one of the goods or services making up that set;

    (b) subject to sections 244 to 247, disclose, in an advertisement, the amount of the periodic payments to be made for the acquisition of a good or the obtaining of a service without also disclosing the total price of the good or service nor make it stand out in a more obvious way;

    (c) charge a higher price for goods or services than advertised.

    So just like in my example, as long as they don't advertise the price without mark-up, they are good. You will often see no price listed for this reason and to "call for $". All that being said markups are a lot less common in Canada than USA. In fact they are pretty rare. What is more common like you said is the sleazy add ons they try to force. But if you search long enough you can find a deal. I paid under MSRP for my PRO in Alberta.

    Given the Tundra HV only gets 2mpg more than the non HV I highly doubt the Tacoma HV will be pushing 30mpg. The Prius gets really good mpg, the other Hybrid models (Camry, Corolla) don't get no where near the Prius mpg.
