Arg, well actually good to know it's just a me problem and not something I can't fix.

Yes, it illuminates without the kit installed. I hate when drivers ignore them after they burn out so it was the first thing I checked after I installed it and took it out and its back to functioning.

Ok, and the tap to stop circuit? have you tested it indeed provides 12v?

Does this kit retain the plug for factory bed lights? I'd assume so, but I thought I should double check before ordering.

Yup does not touch that plug at all. You plug the kit into the OEM plugs for the tail lights.

Just got this installed on mine.

Just for shayts and giggles, I turned both reverse and hazard lights on and only hazard lights came on without the reverse light and no hyper flashing.

ima try just the turn signal and reverse thing tomorrow.

I cannot seem to find the load resistor kit anywhere in stock and I only found this wiring kit for sale at Tacoma Beast. I am also reading quite a few posts saying the person behind MESO rarely ever replies. Does anyone have any idea where to find these load resistors? Are they ever coming back in stock? Looks like a fairly straightforward mod if you have the harness and resistors.

Easiest thing to do is sign up for back in stock notifications on his site. You could also look into the vleds tail light kit. Looks like theirs and the resistors are in stock. It’ll cost about 30 bucks more than the Meso kit but a lot of people seem to like it more. I’ve got the Meso stage 1 with no resistors and I’m happy with it.

I will definitely check out the VLEDs tail light kit. I am still unsure if I need the resistors or not. This weekend I plan on swapping to the LED OEM headlights and I was going to do the tail lights next.

I was waiting for Meso to get them back in stock. Nice Company, nice products but everythink I liked is out of staoc, always! VLEDs is the kit I use and love them, better reviews, brighter lights and just a lot nicer looking kit. Not trying to down Meso but the VLEDs kits is nice and customer service is hands down the best and shipping from the west coast to east coast was only a few days. Happy I stumbled on their kit.

Hey, I'm trying to find out about stage 2. The link's on your site are dead, but it's referenced in a couple places.

What is stage 2, and how do I buy it?

He hasn’t been active here in over a year. Stage 2 is a defunct kit he used to sell that they stopped selling because they’re working on coming up with their own stage 2. Stage 2 is just a brighter version of stage 1 which is already very bright. The old stage 2 that is now discontinued was all VLEDS bulbs and a Meso made harness.

My advice is to look away from the Meso stuff and go buy a tail kit from VLEDS. Better quality, equivalent price. They were the original designers for the Meso kit and now they’re selling kits in two levels of brightness. Very high quality products, their quality is hands down better than the Meso stuff. Meso has had numerous bulb failures needing replacement.

I have the meso kit with the VLEDS. I just noticed when the reverse lights are different colors. The drivers side light has a yellowish color to it, while the passenger side is a bright white. Could something have been installed wrong, or did they send the wrong color bulbs?
