If anyone in the Oregon area is interested I set up a coastal Oregon Toyota group on Facebook to try and organize meets and have a place for Toyota parts to be sold I set up a local Toyota group at every new duty station I’m stationed at if there isn’t one already. My last group “Tidewater Toyotas” was a huge hit with monthly meets and wheeling trips along with stickers and shirts and all the swag.

Does anyone have Baja Designs Squadrons with a spread optic in yellow that would be available to meet in Kirkland in the next day or two? We would be removing that spread optic and placing it in the new Baja SAE v2 units for a comparison post. Afterwards returning it and reinstalling it into your lights of course. This will be exceptionally helpful to the Tacoma community and posted in the SAE fog thread.

Quick question, if you go from 16s to 17s on stock suspension, do you need an alignment?

It wont cause any unwanted wear to the tires?

Only if you somehow manage to shoehorn the 16" tires into the 17" wheels

Okay, also is 17x 8.5 on a 265/70/R17 a bad idea on stock suspension? Will it fit okay? No rubbing etc?

Not if you don’t change the suspension.
    *Should* fit fine

@WrecklessAbandon Sorry to be annoying but how about if I do 285/70/R17. Wheels come in next week so I am just trying to plan.

Those will most likely require some trimming/cutting and maybe a CMC (cab mount chop) but def worth it. Say bye bye to MPGs though. Most trucks are around 13 with 285s

Yeah, I might just stick with 265/70/R17 until I get a lift. Then after that I’ll do bigger tires. 265/70/R17 shouldn’t look weird or too skinny on 17x8.5 I hope.

Nope. Even with ATs that are not very aggressive.
