Until you take it to the trail. For a long time, I wished that I had white. Hahaha!

Now, I'm coming to terms with it, and the Taco has some years on her.

 

For sure I totally understand that. My 85 Runner is is red and it shows those scratches for sure. Your truck has that red and black theme, I like it

Some say that I take it too far, but monochrome works for me.

 

Yeah, I’ve beat the runner up over the past 20+ years…now it’s restoration time and I got the body off.
Trucks are meant to be used and enjoyed. No point in having them if you’re not going to use them!

You got that right. Stock or modded, the Taco is a ton of fun offroad.

 

That’s a beauty! So many vehicles I wish I’d have bought along the way! I’ve got quite a bit of work ahead of me. Gonna coat the frame with KBS rust solutions and the interior is going to be refreshed a bit. Really hard to find all the trim pieces that aren’t broken so I may have to get creative!

 

Why would you paint that tow hook black?

Also, crazy to see how far under your truck that is, with my ARB bumper it looks like I'm practically jousting with that thing. Definitely decreases my approach.

Why would you have a Scout?

 

HAHA. Mainly joking cause you have the red and black color scheme going, but you painted something red, black

Obviously a different color red. Shoulda paint matched it!!


I have a Scout cause I'm too poor to buy a full sized truck and real truck bed camper!

 

I am not a fan of chrome or non-black mod parts. That is what works for me and not just for this Taco.

 

I've had a number of people tell me to paint mine. Black would definitely go better with my rig, but... if it ain't broke...

 

I rarely ever tell folks to do subjective mods, esp paint / colors. If I do, it is comes with a huge caveat that it is a person opinion of mine.

 

My personal opinion is your truck looks perfect as is

The priority list is dwindling. Gotta find a welder for the stupid sliders that have been on my garage floor for months.

 

I think mine sat for about a year.

I've got new headlights that have been waiting since beginning of January... I'm a pansy and am waiting for it to warm up a bit. Didn't even unbox them til this last Sunday. Same kinda goes for my E-Locker. Got the lil rebuild kit months ago... must be lazy and a pansy hahaha

 

They were supposed to be a winter project. Getting ghosted though.


As is, they are cockblocking by bike and I have a streak of luck that would have me not wheeling where I like to as I know the consequences with them, now, not mounted up.


Worse, since the whole stupid idea happened, there have been several bolt on sets for about the same price.

 

I've pretty much not wheeled anything significant since armoring up my truck, lol.

 

That hurts, but last year, I was in a similar situation. Too many side gigs and other stuff going on.
