Maybe. But the Camo door is only like half as long as the front from the side profile pic.
Regardless, it looks normal for the most part IMO. Not sure why it is weird to some.

Really what I take from the pic is Toyota won't have just the SB option like the GM twins. Serious doubt Toyota goes only long bed lol. So it seems like 2 bed lengths carry on?

Yes. I don't see getting rid of the LB entirely but there's some serious doubt (see several pages back) that a dclb will be available.

A quick overlay shows its a DCLB... A slightly different angle but the proportions are there. Interesting they chose to do a snorkel, skids on a LB.

    That must be a
Though, with that overlay, it looks like the front doors extend further back making the rear cab space smaller which I don't think they're going for. More likely it's a aclb

I agree. I never really cared for the bubbly Michelin man 2nd gen. Not awful, but I think the 3rd gen really modernized it and looked nice. The grill may have been a little much...

I think it's the disguise and angle/dangle, the black seam behind the door handle is set further back than the actual door shut giving a weird look, same with the rear door seam.

Will Toyota call it an "access cab" if they are not clamshell style doors?

They may switch to double cab and crew max like the tundra. The tundra also made the switch to a regular door handle on there double cab(access cab) instead of the one on the door seam.

I agree. I think Toyota will refer to them as "Double Cab" and "Crewmax" (or something similar).

I tried to guess the AC being 13" shorter wheel base...

Coil springs would be inboard of the frame rails, like the 4Runner and 2022+ Tundra

With a quick glance I thought your Taco looked like a Ram Rebel... no offense intended

2015: Last year for a factory locker with a 6’ bed and a Manual Transmission in ‘merica
2023: Last year for a truck with an access cab and a 6’ bed. Doing away with the Manual Transmission too? Hopefully we will know more with Friday’s NY Auto show.

Personally I have never needed to have more than 1 passenger in my vehicle, sure some space added behind the front two seats will be useful for some but the shorter rear doors aren’t nearly as aesthetically appealing as clam shells.

Well, looks like the 3rd gen is the most popular Tacoma ever despite being essentially the same truck platform as the 2nd gen. All the aftermarket 3rd gen accessories and a huge cult following. It will be interesting to see how well the 4th gen is received. I think it could surpass the 2nd & 3rd gen eventually.

I agree so far I like the 3rd gen body lines better than 2nd and what we know of the 4th (too many angles and cuts). The grille on 3rd gen post 2020 I really like and think works any bigger like the tundra and it’s awful. The smaller look of the 2nd and possible 4th gen grills I think look just as good if not better. What I loath in the newer vehicles Toyota and all manufactures is the piano key black interior plastics.. scratches too easy, shows dust -and in the sun all those swirls and tiny scratches show like crazy. That’s where 3rd gen got it right post 2020 little to no piano key black gloss all matte like.
