Any pics or videos with an actual tonneau cover on? You have a lot of talk about it working with them but no actual pics. I've got a Bakflip Revolver.

Will something like the bakflip mx4 be able to open with just the rails attached?

We're going to finish up the principal photography before we start shooting with tonneau covers on.

That said, we already have one customer (@brandonfotos) with a 18" VRS installed with a BAK Revolver:

And we installed the 12" VRS on our Tacoma with the Revolver, it can roll all the way up:

The aluminum VRS will require a couple modifications to fit under the BAK rails, this is because of the thickness of the aluminum. The steel version will require no modifications, steel is 3x stronger than aluminum, so the steel Voodoo Rail is a little thinner, making it easier to work with BakFlip covers.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
Just started looking for this summer and came across this thread… these look slick! What’s the lead time like?

We had full stock up until a couple days ago, but initial response has been strong and a lot of it sold.

At this point it depends on exactly which configuration that you want.

But we generally stock everything, we just need to catch up a little.

I can't seem to find tall cross bars on the site. Is it possible to have two crossbars that sit higher than the roof line (for mounting kayaks)?

As far as crossbars go, we only have a 6" high version. We don't see a lot of demand for taller crossbars, most people just go one of our full racks at that point: https://www.kbvoodoo.com/vrs-overla...rs-tonneau-compatible-bed-rack-1st-gen-tacoma

    We also have this: https://www.max-modular.com/toyota-tacoma-years-2005-to-present-11/utility-rack-for-tonneau-covers

These look great! Do you have a photo of the 22" rack on a 3rd gen short bed? I just want to see how high it sits above the roof line...

The 22" is up next for photography, we've been waiting for our hard shell tent to come in before we mount that up.

But for reference, the cab of your truck is also 22" high, so it will be flush.

For carrying kayaks, just mount a couple of these on top of the rack and you're good to go: https://www.amazon.com/TMS-J-Bar-Carrier-Mounted-Crossbar/dp/B003V57NUQ

Also for reference, here is a comparison of the three different heights that we offer:

The lights for the sides, can they be angled down to shine on the ground around the truck?

One of the first things we did was design a cargo light housing to attach to the Voodoo Rail, one that would angle downwards. Then after we looked at it for while, it looked boxy and obtrusive, so we never built any of them.

The lights that fit the pockets (Rigid 20641 and Pro Comp Rock Lights), have very wide dispersion, so the ground gets lit up really well.

Of those two lights, we strongly prefer the Pro Comps. The Rigid are way too bright, and the housing projects too far inside the Voodoo Rail, plus they're too expensive.

But we do have two options for downward facing lights, both get mounted higher up in the rack:

One thing I forgot to mention is that accessories can also be mounted on the Voodoo Rail. This is good for a lot of people who want to carry some offroad gear, but don't necessarily want a full overlanding rack.

I don't know too much about rails, but would the tallest rack support a kayak/canoe? How does this mount with a bakflip mx4 tonneau cover?
