Yeah those two we will decline service. This is at an Indy, a dealership would total it at this point.

    Oof.
I think I'd add, "I fixed everything that needed attention, I think I'm good for a while."

    @Tour991

So, apparently another couple from our birthing class had gone through exactly the same scenario.

Induced for 3 days, ended up doing a C section, and stayed 2 more days just like us.

    I still shamelessly like em.
It doesn't make sense but I also like the new D90. Judging by the LR dealer next to where I work I'm the only one...they just sit. 110s go quick. Granted most of the 90s they get in they spec too high, both of the ones that have been sitting lately are $97K. o_O

I'd agree if he had one of the old rugged models but he has one of the soccer mom ones from the 2000s there's nothing even remotely rugged about it. It's a luxury Honda Pilot

Yeah can't argue with that. They're comfy though! Haha.
I know someone who bought one of the new RRs. It looks like something Apple would make.

@m3bassman Gonna need that Mini money. Have you put it up yet?

The new defenders kind of goofy looking isn't it, like a US postal service vehicle with a lift

Yeah it's also kind of cartoony in a way. I don't know how to describe it. Maybe that's why I like the shorty.
Still wouldn't buy one. Seen multiple on tow truck beds this year here.

I think that whole brand is just kind of one of those things you buy it because you like it not because it's good at anything or because it's even a decent mode of transportation. Nothing wrong with that but it definitely comes at a price

For what they want for one it's certainly a more money than sense or like you said, reallllly like the brand/model. Of course I mostly see women of a certain age driving them. No real surprise there.

I grew up on Mercer Island Washington which is a stupid affluent island in the middle of lake Washington and those were definitely the mom vehicle of choice and typically passed down to the daughters around 16

That sounds just like here! I even had one of those moms ask me about my 100 when I had a for sale sign on it...for their daughter turning 16.

That's definitely where we are. But I think we could hold onto for a bit which helps depreciate the expense. It rides awesome, super luxurious inside and had plenty of power so idk if we will swap it out too fast. We kept the Mini for 2 years so I could see this doing that or longer. It's a super rad truck so I am not struggling to justify it, but it is certainly why they depreciate so fast. Just a tough pill to swallow initially. Once it's fixed though, should be rock solid.

In other news this bad boy came in..PXL_20230407_001313234.MP.jpg

Yeah I don't really get the fancy SUV thing, other than the Land Cruiser I'm really not an SUV person and I wouldn't consider a Land Cruiser newer than mine anyway.

    Oooh URD pulley, nice!
I think with certain vehicles that you know are going to be a trade-off of things you like versus those billing stings, you just can't beat yourself up too much if you continue to like it. Plus with LR/RR nobody really makes another vehicle like them, they do what they do well in their niche part of the market. Just gotta pay to play.

@Ozark_RegCab -- I'm making a trip to Fayetteville tomorrow to see this one in person. I can tell you that if the fishnet compartments on the back of the front seats are like they, they haven't been used.

It looks like the 1st owner was some lady. So little wear on the seats.
